Nestled at the base of the Sierra Buttes whose rocky peaks tower 8,600 feet, Herrington's Sierra Pines Resort is located in historic Sierra City. Founded in 1850 and once a booming mining town, Sierra City has become a popular tourist area. The front of the resort with our beautiful Trout pond

Splendid scenery abounds as the beautiful Yuba River meanders for a third of a mile through the Resort property.
The motel accommodations are wood paneled with Satellite TV, covered decks overlooking the river and king size or double beds. There is a rainbow trout pond stocked with three thousand fish for viewing or fishing pleasure and a gift shop to provide momentos of your vacation time.
The Resort has a beautiful dining room and bar, serving cocktails and delicious meals. The dining room can be partitioned off to accommodate small meetings in a private and relaxed atmosphere.
Within a radius of nine miles, there are more than twenty sparkling mountain lakes, providing a spectacular setting for summer fishing, boating, hiking, and sightseeing. During the winter, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are just minutes away. Tahoe's North Shore is within an hours drive, and four 18 hole golf courses are less than a half hour away.
The Sierra County Historical Park and Museum are minutes away at the east end of Sierra City. Visitors can experience a journey back in history by exploring the famous Kentucky Mine which was started in the 1850's, or by touring the stamp mill which traces its origins to 1888.
